The Mpala Paradise
Dear fantastic Mpala Crew
14 days have now passed since we arrived at the Mpala Paradise. It has been 14 days filled with the most amazing experiences – Visiting the kindergarden supported by mpala and experiencing the happiness and joy all of the children showed when we played with them. with the Duplo and balls we brought to them from Spe Denmark was very special and something we will never forget. For John this was the most memorable experience We have seen so many animal during our stay here. A lot more than we dreamt of. All of the wild cats we experenced several times (cheeta 3 times, lepard 8 times and lions 10 times).
Even the great Rhino we saw more than 10 times. Weapon them The They the th The ha Another great experience was the hot air balloon tow. What a feeling standing high up in the air and overlooking the beautiful landscape below as the balloon silently glided through the air – even Lotte who was afraid of height’s enjoyed it.
The river Cruise was also a very unique experience. having the whole boat for ourselves we enjoyed standing on the boat and seing all of the beautiful a birds passing by together with the hippo and the a crocodile. We even saw the pyton snake several
times. IThe two ATV tours we enjoyed a lot. It was great fun and made our adrenaline inside the body boil. Even little Frej (our youngest family member) got the chance to drive with a little help from his mum.
Another great experience (and for Natalie a bit nerve recking) was our night in the Mpala bush camp.
It was very special to sit around the fire and listening to all of the sounds from the close by animals (lions, elephants, hyena, etc.). Martin and Julianus especally enjoyed the large steaks on the fire. And Jasmine and Bertil enjoyed the marsh mellows.
The hunting tour was without expectation the most special experience for Martin, Julianus and Gitte. They managed to shoot a warthog, Sable antilope and a Nyala. We tasted the meat on our last night and the heads are now being prepared as throphies that will be sent home to them Denmark ab memory of this Special day.
>Else has enjoyed all of the beautiful birds flying around the lodge and especially in Krüger. She has taken 3000 pictures crossed out all our. of the birds in the safar book. All Poul has enjoyed taking pictures of all of the animals we have seen during our stay.
Estel and our ranger’s (Stacie, Japie, Will, Abby) and all of the other Mpala staff has been amazing. We have felt at home from day one and felt very secure ful and in good hands during our stay. They have all been very professional, friendly, informative, fun and always ready to help and answer all of our questions. We leave South Africa with great new knowledge about the nature and animals surrounding Mpala.
Thank you Mpala and South Africa for giving us so many great memones. You will always be in our hearts.
